Should an international school have subdomains for each school in a different country?
-
I understand a lot of people in the SEO world think that everything should be under one site, but if a European school wants to expand its presence in the USA, the current domain authority is 30/100 for the European website. The school is thinking of opening another school in the USA, should they just create a subdomain on the same European site or have a new site for the USA because it's better for the branding?
Any SEO experts can chime in here? -
Although having subdomains for each school in a different country may seem efficient, it can create logistical challenges in terms of maintenance and coordination. Consolidating into a single domain creates a sense of unity and simplifies management. However, localized content and unique branding may require separate subdomains to target different audiences effectively. Ultimately, the decision must be aligned with the school's strategic goals and the needs of the international community.

In fact, I do not recommend using subdomains in terms of SEO. Using subfolders with a well-thought-out site hierarchy will benefit you more. You can get much better results in terms of organic visibility.

That's tricky, but perhaps a subdomain would be better off in terms of on-page and off-page SEO. However, maybe listing your website with online directories will provide your website (and its subdomains) with better visibility and will reach your goals. I know there's a platform, which is a digital directory that's doing quite good with the US audience - https://world-schools.com

Number of internal links and passing 'link juice' down to key pages.
Howdy Moz friends. I've just been checking out this post on Moz from 2011 and wanted to know how relevant it is today? I'm particularly interested in a number of links we have on our HP potentially harming important landing page rankings because not enough 'link juice is getting to them i.e) are they are being diluted by all the many other links on the page? (deeper pages, faqs, etc etc) It seems strange to me that as Google as has got more sophisticated this would still be that relevant (thus the reason for posting). Anyway, I thought I was definitely worth asking. If we can leverage more out of our on-page efforts then great 🙂

How google treats my two different domains with the same content ?
I have two internet stores for two different markets but in the same language (English), the same content and the same url (only domains different). They are in different servers one in USA another in UK. Example: sample.com (global) and sample.uk (for UK).

Currently sample.com (7 years old) is doing better but not very very well, sample.uk (2 years old) is rated poorly. My question is if it's possible that google will rank both stores well in the future ? Thanks Vaidas0 -

Internal anchor text. Should we still use keywords?
I have a review site that has approximately 70 category pages. I'd like to include a few of them (not all 70) in the footer of the page for easy navigation and to direct the crawlers to the best ones. Is it advisable to use anchor text of "Category + reviews" or just leave it as "Category". I certainly dont want it to be overoptimized, but I do think its a good usability cue, so I'd be surprised if it was against guidelines. Any thoughts?

Language for URLs on new international websites
We are due to launch our new site and it will be targeting an international market. We have setup these new sites in the following way www.website.com/fr/content-goes-here www.website.com/es/content-goes-here This has been done in conjunction with setting up the parameters in GWT and making sure it is optimised for the language itself, and that countries search engine. But our web dev team have said that the URLs at the moment will be in english and not the native language, so if you were on the french version of our site you would see the url in english and not french. Will this negatively affect the site for SEO, and who else would think it would be negative from a usability perspective? Any help is appreciated.

Targeting Cities in Different States on a Landing Page
I'm having one issue with my SEO rankings. If I target let's say four cities in the same state for one keyword in a title, it ranks well. let's say one of those cities ends up being outside of the state though for another landing page, then it usually ends up on page two. Does anyone have a solution to this issue? Thanks!

Internal Linking - Same page
Is there any benefit in internally linking back to the same page? I have no other relevant pages in the site I can link to so wondering if it's worthwhile to use anchor text to link back to the same page?
