Will AMP be effective in 2022? I am thinking of using AMP on my website since Core Web Vitals has become a ranking factor. For mobile devices, I guess AMP would be a good option to align with the Core Web Vital update.

AMP will remain a good template and model for making fast web pages. The downside is that it's restrictive, and in principle there's nothing stopping you from making non-AMP pages just as fast. Similarly, it is possible to make AMP pages that do not pass Google's Core Web Vitals thresholds with flying colours, although probably less likely than otherwise.
What's changed recently is that AMP no longer guarantees any special treatment from Google in search results.

Need help in diagnosing what I may be doing wrong
I have a site that has been having problems ranking. Initially, spam rate was at 18%. I have since changed the URL and forwarded to the original so now the spam rate is under 5%. Phone calls started picking back up very slowly but then by August 2024 things came to a screeching halt. Phone has been dead and very little business has been written. There is a spot in Yoast where I can validate the site with Google, Bing, etc. I'm trying to figure out how to do that. I do see in the site's Google Webmaster Tools there are several pages not indexing. Any ideas on what else I can do to get this site to start ranking again? Thank you.0 -
Premium domain name redirects
Hi, I run a tree surgery business - woodfeldertreecare.co.uk We're based in Manchester, UK. A few days ago I was called by Premium Domain Names who convinced me that buying treesurgeonsmanchester.com and treesurgerymanchester.com and redirecting them to our main site would be amazing for organic traffic. My designer and an SEO friend both reckon this was a waste of money and reckon I've been scammed. Any thoughts? Please help.

Unsolved Have we been penalised?
Hey Community, We need help! Have we been penalised, or is there some technical SEO issue that is stopping our service pages from being properly read? GSC: https://gyazo.com/c1d689aff3506d5d4194848e625af6ec There is no manual action within GSC and we have historically ranked page 1 for super competitive keywords. After waiting some time thinking it was an error, we have then have taken the following actions: Launched new website. Rewrote all page content (except blog posts). Ensured each page passes core web vitals. Submitted a backlink detox. Removed a website that was spoofing our old one. Introduced strong pillar and cluster internal link structure. After 3 months of the new website, none of our core terms has come back and we are struggling for visibility. We still rank for some super long-tail keywords but this is the lowest amount of visibility we have had in over 5 years. Every time we launch a blog post it does rank for competitive keywords, yet the old keywords are still completely missing. It almost feels like any URLs that used to rank for core terms are being penalised. So, I am wondering whether this is a penalisation (and what algorithm), or, there is something wrong with the structure of our service pages for them to not rank. Look forward to hearing from you

Domain Authority Keeps Dropping & FRED
Hi Moz! I've seen a big drop in Domain Authority 31 > 22 recently. I need a plan of what to sort out first, here are the points I know we need to improve: Page Speed Quality content - guides, blogs, videos Better UX experience to improve page engagement Backlinks - quality earned links & improvement of presence on social media This is our site http://www.key.co.uk/en/key/ I am the only SEO, with a small content team - who only really work on adding new products to the site. Our dev team are in France and we can be restricted by them. But I'm worried & I need a plan of what to tackle first to help improve this. We also saw keywords drop out in March - I'm assuming after Fred, some keywords aren't ones I would worry about, but then some are - for example - http://www.key.co.uk/en/key/dollies-load-movers-door-skates this page ranked at position 6 for Dollies - now dropped out altogether. Hello, I have one website (Migration Lawyers) and I have an extra 8 domains Parked so they are basically cloning the content of the site. so if the main site is: migrationlawyers.co.za and I have an addon domain migration-lawyers.com is that good or bad? is there a proper way to redirect the sites, will redirecting (301) subdomains be more effective?
